Long Beach, California -- The Hall Show is billed as the Ultimate Outdoor
Experience offering everything you
can imagine for boaters, fishermen, hunters,
travelers, horseback riders, dog lovers,
vacationers, rock climbers, archers, walkers,
racers-you name it.
More than 400 seminars and special sessions on a
wide variety of things from White Seabass
Secrets and Surf Fishing to California Fish and
Game officials answering questions of interest
to outdoorsmen and women, were featured in this annual event
we previously attended.
Upon entering the center, you're greeted by many
of the latest beautiful boats, and I mean sleek,
fast, exquisite. Then you start hearing the buzz
as you enter the vendor area, where people of
all cultures, shapes, sizes and knowledge levels
get specific information and the instruction
they desire for their particular outdoor
pleasure.
In our past attendance, people were having their reels repaired,
watching chef competitions, learning from the
likes of Sportfishing TV legend Dan Hernandez about his acclaimed Youth
Foundation (which helps build kids self-esteem and self-confidence in urban
areas), where the best skiing is in Big Bear (or Alaska), how to join a Frontier
Pack Train in the High Sierra or go on a charter, try on the latest pair
of special sunglasses, get the best customized
fishing pole plus so much more.
It
was so interesting—the conversations, the people, the products, the food, and
that's just inside. Outside in the patio you could watch The Ultimate Air Dog
Show, featuring all breeds and sizes of dogs jumping into the water to the
delight of onlookers. There also was rock-climbing, bow and arrow shooting and
informative booths with Fish and Game officials.
Bart Hall, who grew up working on his dad's
popular show and now oversees it, said the event
will continue to evolve. We're constantly on
the floor listening to guests and vendors to see
what their interests are,” he said. The Hall Shows are currently in Long Beach and San
Diego but may expand someday. To find out
