Montague Balloon Fair Balloon Launchings September 21, 22, 23, 2018, 6 a.m. approx.
Hot Air balloons fill the skies over the town of Montague. Lift off for the dawn ascension is some time around 6 to 7 a.m. weather permitting.  Friday, Saturday, and Sunday mornings enjoy coffee, donuts, breakfast, and the launching of the balloons.
Smoking prohibited, leave pets at home. Parking available at west end of W. Scobie Street, off 11th Street.

Montague Balloon Fair Festival Parade September 22, 2018, 12 p.m.
Enjoy a colorful display of Marching bands, Equestrian units, Vintage Vehicles, Modern Vehicles, Emergency Vehicles, Dancers, Drill Teams, Community Groups in costume, Visiting Dignitaries and Floats

Hot Air & Hot Rods Car Show September 22, 2018, 8 a.m.-12 p.m. 
Participation in the car show is easy. Just apply at the city website and consider providing a recommended donation to help fund the event.

Craft Show September 22, 2018, 9 a.m. at City Hall
Vendors showcase everything from produce and food products to crafts and arts. This is one of the most popular attractions offering opportunities to shop, browse and enjoy.

Balloon Fair Dinner September 22, 2018, 5 p.m. at Montague Community Center
This is more than a meal, it's a tradition! In 2018 Olivera's Catering is serving up a delicious dinner. $25, $15 age 5-12 years. Dessert Bar is an auction event, and no host cash bar. Tickets are available at the Yreka Chamber of Commerce,: 310 South Broadway Street, Yreka CA.

Beer Garden by the Rotary Club of Montague

Presented by Shasta Valley Rotary, the event has previously featured Smokey The Bear Balloon sponsored by Klamath National Forest Fire Prevention. Dawn balloon ascensions, Elks Breakfast and AAUW donuts & coffee. Parking is south of launch site off Scobie Street, YMCA. Saturday is the big festival celebration which includes a parade in Downtown Montague, car show, museum tours, Sirloin BBQ (5 p.m.)  and music by a featured band.

Balloon Fair volunteer crew may be needed September 21-23, 2018
The 2018 Montague Hot Air Balloon Fair is two weeks away! There is no better way to get up close and involved with the hot air balloons than to come out and volunteer as crew for one of the visiting pilots. You don't need experience. Just come prepared to listen as the pilot explains what he or she needs to have you do to help, pitch in and have fun. Most pilots don't travel with their crew and always welcome the local volunteers. For more information on crewing or to get on the list, please contact montagueballoonfair@hotmail.com
