Everything you want in a Bavarian-inspired celebration

La Mesa approx. 10 miles east of the City of San Diego in San Diego County celebrates  Oktoberfest "51" with three Biergartens, German Bands, Food & Kinder Karneval in a street fair atmosphere - German brews and food, live music, Dachshund races, Artisan Alley, the Pumpkin Patch & Pop Up Flower Shop where you can make your own flower crown to wear at Oktoberfest, Palm Avenue Pub & Grub, and Oktoberfest Ferris wheel! 

Food: includes traditional German fare as well as Churros, Southern BBQ, Mediterranean bites, and more. Savor the irresistible aroma of giant pretzels, perfectly grilled bratwurst, and crispy schnitzel, sauerkraut, roasted nuts, and  apple strudel. Not in the mood for German grub? There are plenty of other flavors to try + German beers

Dackeldorf Dachshund Village: Special events like the Wiener/Dachshund dog races and doggie fashion shows allow furry friends to compete for exciting prizes and medals.

The streets of La Mesa Village set the scene for the largest German celebration San Diego has to offer! Traditional German cuisine, flowing pints of beer, three stages of non-stop interactive games and music (Bavarian, German, oompah bands, traditional rock bands, DJs and cover pop,) and the beloved Dackelforf Dachshund Village Your for your pups make this family fun event the toast of the town. Authentic art and German-style crafts from over 30 local artisans provide souvenir shopping and holiday gift giving opportunities, as well.

The Craft Bier & Seltzer Garten: Experience the German inspired theme served California Style with craft brews and seltzers. Vibe to local San Diego DJ beats all weekend long within this unique garten & relax as you enjoy the perfect day in La Mesa. 

Der Deutsche Dance Square: Step outside of your comfort zone & into the Der Deutsche Dance Square sponsored by Grahovac Construction and hosted by Flavor Company Dance Entertainment (FCDE), to tap into diverse dance cultures that you have yet to explore.
