It's two days and two long nights where Newport meets the beach in Ocean Beach, a neighborhood of San Diego, CA. When we posted info and stories about OB Oktoberfest years back, a woman contacted SeeCalifornia.com and found it offensive that girls & ladies would wear skimpy bikinis and hold beer steins in an Oktoberfest contest. Why would we even run photos like that? Sorry, Ma'am, that's how Ocean Beach is. Do NOT attend if this event offends. Of ALL the Oktoberfests in California, OB Oktoberfest is in a league of its own. In fact, they've announced in 2024 that the footprint of this mega-event is double the size of the year before! And while the festival is indeed WILD! it is a fundraiser for special causes, as well.
