Oktoberfest Entertainment
The authentic German Oktoberfest in Redwood City's Courthouse Square comes complete with over 1,100 feet of "family style" bench seating for families and friends to sit and enjoy the event. Some like to eat, drink & watch while others like to get up and dance. You can do it all at this event.
Munich's famous annual festival comes to Redwood City under the huge decked-out Oktoberfest tent which transforms Courthouse Square each fall with music, dancing, contests, cold beer, food and more! There's over 1,100 feet of "family style" bench seating so you can spend quality time savoring authentic German food, pretzels and brats and ice-cold beer. Dancing, singing and tons of audience participation include dance contests, stein holding, yodeling contest, skits with hand gestures to select songs, and many variations of the chicken dance.
The first-ever Peninsula Oktoberfest took place as a one-day community event of beer, food and music. Centrally located in City of Redwood City, and adjacent to public transportation, Courthouse Square is easily accessible to everyone from San Francisco, San Jose, the East Bay area and everywhere in between. Peninsula's Best Brew Awards gave the community an opportunity to select the best beers from the breweries participating at Peninsula Oktoberfest.
