Wow! Get ready for a full day of action starting at 7 a.m. when the beans start to cook at City Park. The 94th Annual Paso Robles Pioneer Day brings the flavor of a hometown event from decades or perhaps centuries gone by.  For those who live in town, you know that Pioneer Day isn't just a one day 'thang. It's been going on for months with BBQs, fundraisers, meetings, and the love, sweat & tears of community volunteers who put this shindig together.  We know how Bay Area residents and Southern Californians like to get away to Central Coast Wine Country for a weekend. If you're looking for a family trip, check out this event where the kids play a big part in the celebration with gymkhana, costume contests and the newest event introduced in 2024, the games!

• 7 a.m. Traditional Bean Cooking Begins at Paso Robles City Park
• 8 a.m. Kids Pet Contest for ages 14 years & under at Paso Robles City Park Gazebo with categories for Best dressed, Best lookalike, Most colorful, Best behaved, Most unique, Pioneer Pet
• 8:15 a.m. Little Cowboy/Cowgirl Contest  at Paso Robles City Park Gazebo with categories Boy & Girl, 0-3 years, and age 4-7 years
• 10 a.m. Pioneer Day Parade at 16th & Spring Street with awards for Best Use of Theme, Marching Band, Parade Horse, Mounted Group, Club, Wagon Team and more!
• 12 Noon Free Bean Feed at Paso Robles City Park; Carnegie Library & Historical Museum opens in City Park at 2010 Riverside Ave with Antique Tractor & Wagon Display and Vintage Engine Show
• 12:30 p.m. Whiskerino Contest at Paso Robles City Park with categories for Most Unique, Best Mustache, Fullest and Best Overall
• 1 p.m. Horseshoe Pitching Contest at Paso Robles City Park
• 1 p.m. Gymkhana at Paso Robles Event Center with ages categories 6 & under, 7-9 years, 10-12 years, and 13-17 years
• 3  p.m. Pioneer Games at Paso Robles Event Center. Now's the time for energy-fueled bean-eaters to show their stuff with the exciting line up of games such as: Bale Wagon Haro-Bed Race, Hay Hurdle Relay, Celebrity Tractor Tire Race, Hay Stealing Contest, Antique Car Potato Race, Hay Hurdle Relay, Women's Truck & Horse Trailer Backing, Tug-of-War, Tractor Stake Race, Crawler Tractor Pole Bending, Key Hole Race
