Association, the 2nd annual Point Arena
Hemp Hops & Harvest Festival presents
the best of the season at the cove in a
fall celebration showcasing the
versatility of hemp, pleasurable flavors
of local beers (hops) and the richly
colorful and nutritious bounty of local produce & food products.
Historian Steve Oliff leads fascinating, free Point
Arena History Tours beginning at Arena Market at 10:45 a.m.
and 12:45 p.m. Hemp clothing and accessories will be offered
by creative cove merchant, One Weave. MECCA will be on hand
to share information on medical marijuana and many food
booths will feature Hemp in their recipes.
Nearly 30 beers from around the county, state and the world
will be available for tasting. $10 buys a commemorative mug
and 5 tasting tickets. Highlights of the Harvest include
hand-pressed cider, jams & chutneys, local mustards,
smoothies, candied apples, organic tacos, home baked pies
and much more.
Local artists will be selling jewelry, plants, spices,
salves and lotions. Live music by James' Purple Jam Band
will be followed by a performance by Bryn Harris & Friends.
In the evening, the music moves uptown to the Arena Theater
with Janiva Magnus. The show begins 8 p.m.
Guests are invited to enjoy the essence of Point Arena at
its premier location--Arena Cove. Proceeds from this
fun event help fund the purchase of daffodil bulbs for the
