The fair is sponsored by the Archaeology Institute of America's Riverside and Inland Southern California Society and The Riverside County Parks' Dept. An Archaeology Fair at the Hidden Valley Nature Center in Riverside.

This year's theme is The Investigators. The fair brings together over 20 exhibitors from university, government and private sector archaeologist, Native American craftsmen and museums. Archaeologists and Law Enforcement investigators use some of the same techniques and tools.

One unique exhibit from the Riverside County Sheriff's Crime Lab demonstrates reconstruction facial features of human remains. This has be use on archaeological finds. Perhaps the most dramatic is reconstruction of the face of King Richard III of England, whose body was discovered under a parking lot in Leicester England.

Organizations participating in the fare will include: AIA's Riverside & Inland Southern California Society, The Bureau of Land Management, California Polytechnic State University, Cal State, LA. Cal State, SB, Cal Poly Pomona, ECPRP Consulting, Heritage Education Programs, Steve Freers, Fullerton Museum of Art at Cal State, San Bernardino, Mother Earth Clan, Palos Verdes Peninsula USD Archaeology Program, Past to Present, Riverside County Sherriff's Crime Lab, University of Redlands, Joshua Tree National Park, the Prizm Group, San Bernardino City Police Dept., Southern California Edison, Statistical Research, Inc, U. C., Riverside and the US Forest Service.
