Festival Celebrates Italian Cultural Sports in California

SAN DIEGO, CALIF.-- Grab your broom stick, table leg or any other kind of stick because the annual Labor Day Stick Ball Tournament is taking over the street of Little Italy.

This east-coast sporting past time is proudly celebrated in San Diego's Little Italy and brings players from all over the world, including New York and Puerto Rico, to honor traditions and to play for King of the Block” bragging rights. This classic childhood game brings out the kid in all of us and this September, India Street from W. Ash to W. A Streets and Columbia Street from W. Beach and W. Cedar Streets will be where the games are held.
