Tehachapi Apple Festival is two days of Applie Goodness with fun for everyone in the family including a great Kidzone,with inflatables.

For $10 you can get a bracelet for all day fun. Other fun kid related activities include balloon car races, carnival games, corn hole contest, golf putting, face painting, and the carnival will be in town as well.

Amazing STREET MAZE for kids to be challenged and an Aerial Silk Show. ​

Shoppers will love the hand crafted local artisan gifts and apple related items.

Local apple farmers will be selling apples and lots of other locally produced food products including apple pie, apple turnovers, apple nachos, and many other apple treats. We have clothing, candles, home decor, baked goodies, kids toys, crocs, jewelry, candles, wreaths and so much more.

Live music  in Centennial Plaza where you can sit and enjoy your food and the music. Just outside of Centennial Plaza in the middle of Green Street

Apple Pie Eating Contest on Saturday OR ENTER or watch the apple pie baking contest on Sunday.

The Vintage Trailer Show will be held at the Rodeo Grounds to allow for ample space for beautiful trailers.

Apple Drop on Saturday at 4pm on F Street. For $10 you have a chance to win $1,000 gift card or second place $500 gift card if your apple lands on the bullseye.

Apples sold by Lions Club and Rotary Members. A portion of the proceeds will also go to benefit several local charities including the Tehachapi Lions & Rotary Club of Tehachapi, Warrior Football Boosters, Tehachapi Wrestling Club, THS Cheerleaders, Ladies Aux of American Legion, Salvation Army Youth Group, Tehachapi Cancer Foundation, Honor Flight, United Pegasus Foundation and others.

Tehachapi at an elevation of 3,970 feet is located in the Tehachapi Mountains 35 miles southeast of Bakersfield in Kern County. When autumn comes to the region, it's a wonderful time to visit and taste local apples. Daytime temps average 65-70 degrees with less than half an inch of rain expected for the entire month.  While you can visit Tehachapi and pick apples at farms & orchards such as Knaus Apple Ranch (knausappleranch.wordpress.com), the apple fest puts the celebrating in one place for all to enjoy for two day only.

On Apple Festival weekend in 2023 there are 2 events going on - The Tehachapi Apple Festival downtown and Carnival Rides at the Tehachapi Rodeo Grounds October 13-15, 2023  nearby.  NOT part of the Apple Festival, the Tehachapi Chamber of Commerce is responsible for that attraction.

As for us, we're going for the apples - apple pie, apple drinks and apples sold everywhere. There's likely even vendors selling apple scented candles and oils among the many arts, crafts and gift merchants.

Have you ever noticed it's a favorite trick of Realtors holding open house to heat some apple cider in the kitchen, providing a wonderful  aroma to attract potential buyers? Apples are really enticing, tasty, sweet and
