adolescents in the past 30 years–over one-third
adolescents are overweight or obese. However,
fruit being served in schools contains 50% less
nutritional value than it once did. Furthermore,
80% of applesauce and apples served to students
as healthy options are saturated with the
pesticide, diphenylamine. It has been banned in
Europe because it was not proven to be safe.
