One thing's clear about the Siskiyou Ice Rink: It has a huge fan base. There's even a non-profit group working to support its very existence. Called Friends Of the Rink (FOR), the group is made up of volunteers who say they are absolutely passionate about having a quality ice skating experience available to  youth and adults in Mt. Shasta and surrounding communities. Established  to support the management of Siskiyou Ice Rink and to raise funds for improvements at the rink, this National Hockey League sized-rink offers great opportunities for athletes looking to hone their skills, compete on teams and for the public to enjoy a spacious skate session inspired by breath-taking scenery and surrounding mountains.

If you're lucky you may even catch the mountain under a full moon. The rink is 85 feet wide and 200 feet long – the same size as National Hockey League rinks. Skating in an open-air rink is a thrill, especially with the magnificent Mt. Shasta scenery surrounding you! Shastice Park sign on the left. Turn into the park and the rink is next to the parking lot.
