Central Park Seasonal Ice Rink Construction Begins -- Parks and Recreation Department staff have started building the outdoor ice rink at Central Park. So far, they have installed a large sandbox base with compacted sand for the ice rink next to the Community Recreation Center. Next steps include installing the chiller and coils on top of the sand base. The ice rink will be ready for the community the week of Thanksgiving on November 19, 2018.  The 150 tons of sand from the rink will be re-used during the spring season for renovation of Fatjo field, which includes aerification, fertilization and top dressing with the sand.
