Redwood City Ballet America Nutcracker Ballet Holiday Event, The Nutcracker performances are a hit each year and with good reason. From beautiful stage sets, costumes and lighting, to 70 of the finest dancers, the performance annually also features several esteemed guest artists.

Artistic Director Julia Ball-Dugan began studying ballet with the Sacramento Ballet under the directorship of Barbara Crockett. She also studied with Boston Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and San Francisco Ballet. Julia danced professionally with the American Festival Ballet, Eugene Ballet and Tulsa Ballet Theatre. Julia founded Stanford's first ballet company and graduated from Stanford University with a BA in Economics and an MA in Dance Education. She opened AAB in the fall of 1999, has been teaching dance for over 20 years, and has directed Nutcracker and other productions for fifteen years.
