Bishop City Park
Park Avenue and Highway 395
Bishop City Park in downtown Bishop is home to the Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau, and is across the street from popular Erick Schat's Bakery. The park's 53 acres provide the epi-center of action for city sports and outdoor entertainment. With ample parking, you'll find the park an enticing break during road trips or local stays. In the summer (mid-June through August) the park hosts Monday night Community Band Concerts at 6 p.m. Farmers Market is held Saturday mornings from 9 to 11 a.m. starting the last week in June through September.
Special events taking place in Bishop Park are the annual Easter Eggstravaganza, Rainbow Days, Mule Days held on Memorial Weekend, Big Day in the Park on July 4, Craft Fair held twice annually, Halloween, Santa visits, Earth Day Celebration and many more community programs sponsored by the City of Bishop, Ca.

PLAYGROUNDS
There are two developed playground
areas in the Bishop City Park. One is
primarily designed for ages 2-5 and
located in the front of park immediately
west of the Aquatic Complex. The second
larger playground is located north of
the lake in the back section of the
park. This area is primarily designed
for ages 5-12.
Aquatic Facility
The aquatic facility include solar covers, pool heater, sand filter, and a waterslide. It also has lock rooms. It is the joy of the community and is highly utilized in the city of 5,000 residents.
Tennis Courts - Don't worry about not having a place to hit your balls and practice your tennis skills. With 8 tennis courts in Bishop, you're sure to maintain your game. Best of all, there's hardly ever any rain--the one thing that really does damage to those tennis balls!
ATHLETIC FIELDS
There are four athletic fields for
softball, baseball and soccer.
GAZEBO, PICNIC AREAS AND BANDSTAND
The gazebo and picnic areas are
extremely popular throughout the year.
With a limited number of romantic,
outdoor wedding venues, the gazebo and
small lake setting has become the most
sought out pride of Bishop for special
events. You'll see weddings held at the
gazebo throughout the year and seasons.
It is very romantic for brides, and the
public can rent and reserve this
facility!
There is a group picnic pavilion A city bandstand is home to Summer Concerts in the Park.

and leases approximately 43 acres from
