Huntington Beach Central Park

Central Park is the crown jewel of the Huntington Beach, Calif. parks system. Operated and maintained by the City of Huntington Beach, there are approx. 80 parks in the seaside Orange County city.

Central Park is a 350 acre park that spans to areas crossing one busy street (Golden West) that goes from San Diego (405) Freeway to Pacific Coast Highway and Huntington City Beach.

Central Park contains so many things to see and do, it's a world unto itself with several restaurants, an equestrian center, a disc (frisbee) golf course which was one of the first in America, a Nature Center, a sports complex, a library and cultural center complex, a bandstand, an amphitheater, one permanent lake and one seasonal lake, numerous picnic facilities, a dog park with separate fenced areas for large and small dogs, an urban forest, meeting and events space, concert venues, hiking and biking trails, a youth shelter, a seasonal adventure playground where kids can play in the mud and build rafts, bird and nature watching, and more!

Special events held in Central Park outdoor grounds each year include a BBJazz Festival in September, Civil War Re-enactment on Labor Day Weekend, free summer concerts in the park, Concours d'elegance car show and A Taste of Huntington Beach food and beverage fundraiser, to name a few. An annual Surf City Marathon also passes by and /through Central Park.
