Shown in photo is Sharp Park Beach, home to
Pacifica Pier, a 1,140 foot
long pier that is considered one of the best spots for catching
fish. Like all California public piers, fishing is free. Sharp Park Beach connects to a fantastic 2.5 mile hiking trail
that begins at Beach Blvd. and Montecito Ave. Head south along
the berm past Sharp Park Golf Course and Laguna Salada Lake.
Arriving at Mori's Point Road, head inland from the Pacific
Ocean. Near Highway 1 is a fork in the road where you can stay left toward Bradford Way near the Moose Lodge. Proceed north to Francisco Blvd. Then trace the border of the golf course back to the beach. Or stop off at the Spanish-style clubhouse
with a restaurant, pro shop and bar, open to the public seven days a week.
The golf course is considered the poor man's Pebble Beach!
