From homeless to haute, you see EVERYTHING and EVERYBODY on the Huntington Beach Pier. A bride and groom wandered the pier in bridal gown and tuxedo, posing with their wedding photographer on their special day.
Love is in the air and the sea inspires lovers to venture out and enjoy the best that life has to offer. A stroll on the Huntington Beach Pier takes about 10-15 minutes to accomplish. The pier isone of the longer California piers--about 5th in length of over-the ocean piers. Its length is approx. 1,856 feet, slightly more than 1/3 mile.
Weddings on the Pier? Not seen those happen. The wind can be strong and space limited. Nearby beaches are popular spots for pier weddings. You must get a license to have a wedding on the beach, and you can't keep strangers from wandering up and watching. The beach is open to the public, so most opt for other locations such as the nearby resort hotels that offer catering and beach views.
