It's ice skating time at the beach. No way-- Way! Pictured are scenes from California ice skating rinks. From the fun-tastic rink, a repeat occurrence at Pershing Square in L.A. each year, to San Jose's circular rink near the Fairmont Hotel, San Francisco, Coronado Beach at the Hotel de Coronado, and everywhere you look, ice skating has people hooked.

The winter rinks are temporary, seasonal affairs that appear around November, then are gone in January. It's always a little sad when they disappear so we always anticipate and hope that they'll be back.
