Little Girl Points at Penguin Who Seems to Watch

Children visiting the Aquarium of the Pacific Penguin Habitat feel a natural affinity to the Magellanic penguins in the exhibit. You'll often see kids talking to the penguins and pointing as if the penguins will see them and interact. The addition of the June Keyes Penguin Habitat in Summer 2012 to the Long Beach aquarium has made the exciting facility even more interesting, educational and fun. The majority of visitors to the aquarium likely won't ever visit the bird's main breeding grounds that range from Cape Horn to Tierra del Fuego and the Falkland Islands, Brazil and Peru. They are not found naturally in Southern California where the museum is located.
