Are you looking for a scenic beach to pass away the day? Pudding Creek Beach is the ticket. Be sure and walk the Pudding Creek Trestle to get a view from above, too. Pudding Creek beach bluffs provide a cozy nesting habitat for the endangered snowy plover.
Pudding Creek Trestle was built in 1915 as part of Ten Mile Railroad used to haul lumber to Fort Bragg. In 2007 California State Parks completed a construction project which opened the bridge to pedestrians and bicyclists, allowing safer access to reach the coast and MacKerricher State Park north of Fort Bragg without having to use busy Highway 1, the primary thoroughfare for cars and trucks.
