California sunsets: Stearns Wharf is one of the most romantic places to watch the sun go down in Santa Barbara. The wooden wharf (that you can drive on) includes restaurants, pier parking, and plenty of places to stop, shop and stroll.

We've booked a hotel room at a spot that's been a wonderful, romantic retreat (even with kids) and stood on the balcony of our room to take this picture of the sun going down. The place, Harbor View Inn, is directly across the street from the beach and just steps to Stearns Wharf.

We tried taking a video of the sunset from our hotel room, but it's a little shaky, as we had not tripod.
