Seal Beach, California--If you are looking to play a pick up game of volleyball, or are a novice just starting out, Seal Beach beaches offers court space ideal for beginners. The more serious players often are found nearby, but this particular beach is generally known as quite easy going for tourists and locals. Its reputation is as a family beach and thus, the volleyball action is rarely more than practice games, tourists fun, or beginners just learning how to play. The main thing about playing volleyball next to Seal Beach pier is to have fun!
There's something else you should know. They sometimes move volleyball polls and nets. You can always call the City lifeguards to confirm if the nets are near the pier and how many exists in that location, should you be looking for accommodations for larger groups to play.
