Annual Taste of the Pier in Redondo Beach, Calif. is a free event in which the public is invited to have some fun. Tickets are sold and used for "tastes" of things ranging from hot dogs to tacos.

 Since there are a variety of shops on the Redondo Pier, the participation isn't limited to restaurants. Gift stores also participate and offer small gifts in exchange for tickets.

The event, sponsored by the Redondo Pier Association, includes balloon artists, face painters and musicians performing in free concerts. If you want to explore and get to know the pier and its stores, cafes, restaurants and shops, Taste of the Pier (usually in October) is your ticket to fantastic flavors, great shopping, and good times!
