California Flea Markets

I don't like fleas, unless they're markets. California has a handful of flea markets that rank among the nation's favorites, and while the best known, most promoted fleas get plenty of bites, there are some amazing outdoor markets that you gotta' see! Pictured are the grounds, views and some items sold at Treasure Island Flea.

  • SAN FRANCISCO – Treasure Island Flea(TreasureIslandFlea.com). One of the newest and most amazing flea markets that should be considered a tourist attraction for its views is the Treasure Island Flea in San Francisco. Held the last weekend of the month, this market offers an eclectic mix of unique antiques, collectibles, art and modern kitsch, plus everything in between. Spend time soaking up the stunning bay views, shopping, playing with hula hoops, and having a great day.
  • ALAMEDA– Alameda Point Antiques and Collectibles Faire (alamedapointantiquesfaire.com). Held 1st Sunday, there are over 800 dealers. All items sold must be at least 20 years old.
