Manhattan Beach has hosted many beach sporting events. When the AVP Beach Volleyball events traveled the U.S., the now defunct organization made Manhattan Beach one of their regular stops because of the beautiful location and fan base.

In 2010 the USA Volleyball association held their major play-offs in Manhattan Beach, as well, and thousands of spectators came to watch. It was simply amazing.

The California Beach Volleyball Association is sure to visit and host events in Manhattan Beach. In 2011 there were many competitions scheduled for the Manhattan Beach Pier and surrounding beach locations.

In addition to beach volleyball you can count on regular doses of surfing with lots of competitions, local races, fundraiser walks and runs, and most any month you can wander down to the beach and see a competition event being hosted at beautiful Manhattan Beach beaches & pier.
