Cayucos is a fairly small beach city on the California Central Coast that overlooks the Morro Rock landmark to the south. The surfing in this area is fantastic and provides many great wave sets for those seeking to find a range of easy surfing to more advanced challenges.

Water temperatures are usually in the 50s to 60s, making bodysuits an important part of the gear you'll need to tolerate the water temps longer.

For traveling surfers who don't have a board with them (hard to fathom) or first time surfers who need a lesson, Cayucos has a great local surf company in downtown Cayucos near the heart of the surfing action.

Rentals include Full Day Boggie Board, Wetsuit, Boggie & Wetsuit, Surfboard, Surfboard & Suit. Wetsuits are clean and disinfected nightly. At time of rental you must be 18 years old and have a valid driver's license and credit card. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. The shop is filled with all the gear for surfing and skateboarding.
