An annual tradition invites surfers to sign up and become a part
of the fun. It's called Surfside 70s Contest because it takes
place in Surfside, California.
Celebrating its 16th Annual event in 2014, Surfside 70s always has a great poster stationed on the side of Turc's, a Sunset Beach bar on Pacific Coast Highway. Sitting near the water tower house, the location is ideal for those heading southbound to see and ponder whether they will attend. The poster usually stays on the wall about a month before the event is held.
The sign tells everyone to head over to Kanvas by Katin to register for the surfing competition. The surf store is located across the street from Surfside and the beach. You'll see it next to a series of hotels, just beyond Don The Beachcomber heading northbound on Coast Highway.
