Disneyland Resort is decked out for the holidays. Mickey & Minnie are sporting new costumes, and there's more!
The second, smaller theme park, California Adventure, celebrates holiday traditions with international foods, music & dance, and puts a quirky spin on Christmas with a whimsical tree and fun decor.
A Christmas Fantasy Parade is the longest-running holiday parade in Disneyland Resort history. It features seven units comprised of 16 floats, including two stand-alone Christmas trees and a Humdinger wind-up toy car. Originally debuted in 1995, this crowd favorite returns to Disneyland theme park to delight all ages with a daily musical procession of floats, marching toy soldiers, dancing gingerbread cookies, Mickey & Minnie Mouse and Disney characters in their finest holiday attire!
It may be 80 degrees on those famous Southern California winter days but at Disneyland it's a Winter Wonderland.
It may seem like elfin magic at the It's a Small World ride but here's what it takes to make it so great at Christmas time: 24 cast members work for 18 days (or 3,456 man-hours approx.) on interior treatments, while the exterior is transformed over eight weeks (56 days) with some stages taking place overnight when the park is closed.
Billed as a fun street party to celebrate Christmas in Latin American cultures, the back-story includes Three Caballeros along with Mickey & Minnie in attire that weaves elements of traditional Latin American fashion with holiday motifs through playful textured fabrics and vibrant floral embroidery.
All three Hotels of the Disneyland Resort will display beautifully themed Christmas trees, feature performances from convivial carolers and visits from Santa Claus. The Disneyland Resort culinary team is also continuing its annual gingerbread house display at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa.
