Carlsbad California Legoland Pirate Reef

Legoland California unveiled Pirate Reef in 2012. It is a water attraction where kids and adults can shoot high powered water guns and fight mock battles. Guests plunge 25 feet down a chute between two massive pirate ships making a giant splash beneath a bridge below.

Upon exiting, guests aim water cannons at each other from the ship of either Captain Blue Brick or Captain Red Brick and take a chance on getting drenched again as they walk the bridge between the two ships.

More than 30 pirate-themed models including pirates, monkeys, parrots and frogs, all created out of more than 223,000 LEGO bricks. Pirate Reef is located between Pirate Shores and Legoland Water Park with more than 60 rides, shows and attractions. It is accessible from both Legoland Water Park and Legoland California.
