While there's always a day full entertainment — 12 rides and 3 shows at Universal Studios Hollywood, including two roller coasters, one water ride, one tram tour, one spinner ride and seven simulator experiences — at Christmastime the focus is on three major attractions: SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Grinchmas.

Celebrate Christmas throughout Universal Studios Hollywood theme park featuring several attractions and themes. Our long-time favorite for over 10 years has been Whoo-ville and Grinchmas.  There's a crooked Christmas tree and cast of characters off the pages of a popular Dr. Seuss book that offer fantastic photo opportunities.

• The Grinch and  dog Max are available for photos
• Tree-lighting ceremony several times each evening featuring the Grinch and the Who-ville Whos, complete with snow around the topsy-turvy 65 foot-tall Grinchmas tree decorated with ornaments and LED lights.
• Cindy-Lou Who daily story time featuring a reading of Dr. Seuss's 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas!' 

Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

• A cappella performances from the Hogwarts Frog Choir
• Evening light show, The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle features music soundtrack from the Harry Potter film series appearing several times
• Ollivanders, Merchandise, shopping & specialty foods
• Hear songs of the holiday season from the choir of Hogwarts  students, accompanied by the smooth bass rumbles of their giant throaty frogs.
• Stroll through the streets of Hogsmeade with festive décor, lights, garlands, and wreaths.
  

 Holidays at Super Nintendo World

Join Mario and friends and get into the holiday spirit with limited-time merch. Launched in early 2023, Super Nintendo World includes an adventure ride, Mario's Kart ride with special 3D goggles that help your battle Team Bowser. In addition to the ride, there's a mushroom themed cafe, areas to explore as you walk through what looks like the game, itself, plus meet & greets Super Mario and other characters. 

If you've been there and experienced The Simpsons Ride, The Secret Life of Pets: Off The Leash, Transformers: The Ride 3-D, Despicable Me Minion Mayhem, Dreamworks Theatre Featuring Kung Fu Panda, Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey and Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge,  then seasonal offerings are an added bonus to your already great appreciation of the theme park. For locals with season passes the holidays are a reason to return to the park and take in the seasonal decor and entertainment.
