Torrance has an amazing inventory of parks, but among the things to do within the city bounds are the Miniature Train you can ride on some weekends in the park. The normal sports—baseball, tennis, soccer, volleyball, surfing, swimming, etc., all are things to do in Torrance.

Under things to do, Torrance bills itself as the affordable vacation. Though none of the hotels are located on or near the beach, they are within a few miles reach. And, they do tend to cost less than their South Bay counterparts in terms of room rates, especially during the summer.
