Kimpton's Canary Hotel in Santa Barbara will have weekly "Sing-Along Under the Stars" every Wednesday in October on its scenic rooftop terrace. Each week will feature a different complimentary film screening. The show starts at 8pm. (CanarySantaBarbara.com.)

Pier 39 in San Francisco is celebrating its 35th Anniversary with Fireworks off the Bay end, every Saturday night in October. Also in the city is Urban Hiker San Francisco, a touring company offering hikers 5 routes, including "Urban Jungles and City Heights," "Presidio Exploration" and "Stairways to Heaven." Oxnard's River Ridge Golf Club is the first in California to offer "Footgolf," an international sport that follows the rules of golf but substitutes soccer balls and kicks instead of golf balls and clubs. (www.riverridge-golfclub.com)
