Huntington Beach 3 to See Things in California

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIF. — The top three

things to see in Huntington Beach are the Huntington Beach Pier, the beaches and Main Street.

1. Huntington Beach Pieris not the longest pier in California, but it is certainly one of the most beautiful and well built. It represents what the public can do when a pier collapses from storms. The previous pier was taken down by one of those huge west-facing swells in the Pacific Ocean. The community got together and raised much of the funds to build a new pier. On the pier is a Ruby's 50s diner, a bait & tackle shop, a kite store and and Surf City Store where you can buy souvenirs. There are public restrooms, benches for sitting, periscopes, cleaning basins for fish, and Tower Zero lifeguard tower. You'll find the pier at Main and Pacific Coast Highway.

2. Huntington Beach beaches, include 9.3 miles of beaches from Sunset Beach in the north to Bolsa Chica State Beach, City Dog Beach, City Beach, and Huntington State Beach in the south. Beaches contain the prized bonfire rings, an accoutrement hard to come by. Concessions, food, restrooms, sand volleyball courts, basketball courts, surfing, paved (fee) parking, special events, and a paved cement path for bicycling, skating, jogging and walking all offer so much fun!

3. Main Streetis the anchor for the beach fun in Huntington Beach. You can dine at over 20 outdoor cafes, listen to rock music with live bands performing at restaurants and bars at night, shop for surf gear, contemporary clothes & more, get your hair and nails done, go to the cleaners, chiropractor, and see two museums featuring surfing culture and art. Main Street is the hub of commerce for the beach region.
