California is often billed as 1,000 miles of coast, though we’ve seen it described as 1,100 miles in length, as well. Added to those 1,000 or so miles of coast for boating, there’s also the Delta that surrounds Sacramento in the Central Valley and countless rivers and lakes such as Lake Tahoe. There’s more boating and boat ownership in California than nearly any other place. It is truly a way of life.
For those who can’t afford to own a boat or choose not to, you can take boat cruise throughout the state, go whale watching, enjoy a dinner cruise, or rent your own small craft. Get out there and have fun. Boating is one of the greatest ways to experience our Golden treasure–California!
