On Display through January 19, 2013, an exhibit that explores America’s colorful Wild West history–from dime novels of the 1800’s to radio, movies and television–showcases the romanticizing of the West. The ideal solitary and righteous hero of the American West saved communities from the evils of an untamed wilderness. Ride ’em Cowboy! explores this influence on American popular culture and even features productions some filmed locally in Pioneertown (Yucca Valley).
