CHILL (an ice event in Long Beach) just melted away the other day. The ice sculptors who created it were back in China launching the world famous Harbin Ice Festival. But winter’s not over, not by a long shot! At Northstore Tahoe they have a fabulous event coming up called Carve Tahoe. Held Friday, Feb. 8 through Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, Carve competitors are flying in from Japan, Russia, Canada, Germany, and Finland, to join U.S. Carve talents in a competition to create the most breathtaking, unique, challenging and eye-catching ice sculptures this side of the globe. Around 20 countries are expected to be represented in the ice challenge held at Northstar Resort, 5001 Northstar Drive, Truckee, California. Phone: (415) 561-4345 ext. 215. carvetahoe.com
