The Tevis Cup (teviscup.org) is a 100 mile horse ride–a 24 hour trail ride challenge through some of the most rugged mountainsides in the Sierra Nevadas. Riding by moonlight during a portion of the event and experiencing famed Cougar Rock, a swinging bridge, streams and weather extremes are more than around 50% of those who start the journey can handle. Riders must prepare to face the Horsemen’s Journey, a 58 year tradition on an historic trail between Truckee and Auburn, California.
