Want to build a sandcastle? The annual Sandcastle festival happens in September, but you can build them anytime.
Want to have a beach fire? Call for fire conditions (415) 464-5100 and when it’s a go, stop by the visitor center to obtain your free permit.
Want to ride horses on the beach? A concessionaire provides the saddle and horse–awesome!
Want to camp? There are a handful of camping areas within hiking distance from roads.
Want to take the dog? Dog-friendly parks and beaches exist within this national park.
Here’s more….kayaking, bird watching, whale watching, sunbathing, nature walks led by docents, photography seminars in the great outdoors through Point Reyes Seashore Field Institute and more are offered at glorious Point Reyes National Seashore. FREE admission takes place April 22 – 26, 2013 at this park and every national park  (nationalparkweek.org).
