Just today I was wondering what the latest hair styles and crazes are. For the answer, head to a hair competition. That’s what stylist Samantha Gray did! Selected as one of 7 finalists out of 1,000 applicants in the U.S., she competed in Wella’s International Trend Vision in Las Vegas recently, representing The Loft Hair Design & Skin Care based in Escondido.

The Loft Team traveled to Vegas to cheer her on as she competed in the color category, creating the design pictured here. Wella Professionals Annual International Trend Vision competition offers young stylists and talented colorists across the globe a chance to showcase their passion and talent to the world. The competition celebrates the skills of pioneering stylists with an inherent sense of originality with stylists demonstrating their skills and creativity.

Gray attended Pasadena City College Cosmetology program and became licensed in 2001. Relocating to Oceanside she assisted Andrew Dale studying Sassoon haircutting. Moving to The Loft Hair Design she became Director of Education in 2005. She is in charge of managing and developing its education programs from Assistant through Advanced classes, and also has been the creative lead for fashion shows and photo shoots. Her favorites include the New York and Los Angeles Fashion Weeks as part of the Bumble and bumble and Wella teams.
