The Greeks Are Taking Over, Opa!
OK, so Tom Hanks wasn’t born Greek. He did, however, marry Rita Wilson (left photo,) who is chair of this year’s L.A. Greek Festival–and she’s Greek.
On Labor Day Weekend many California Greeks will be cooking fast and furiously, serving, dancing, and sipping the Ouzo during not one but five Greek Festivals throughout the state. From Long Beach to Sacramento, Belmont to Lancaster, and even Monterey, the Greeks are putting on their annual mega-food and entertainment events. If you’ve never been to a Greek Festival, you gotta’ go. The dishes are delicious and the atmosphere is very festive and fun. It feels like you’re visiting a friend’s home. The Greek Festival in L.A. that actress Rita Wilson is hosting takes place September 6-8, 2013. Here’s information on all the upcoming Greek festivals!
