California zoos love to celebrate Halloween in fashion. Most zoos dress up their surroundings and invite the public to share some special treats ranging from Trick or Treat candy for children to zoo animals sticking their faces into pumpkins, biting on a toy Frankenstein monster or even smashing pumpkins to smithereens. This year we’ve uncovered more than 15 Boo at the Zoo celebrations to go see and enjoy. While several are geared toward children, most appeal to all ages, and one at Escondido’s Safari Park is an adults only sleepover with spooky stories, a haunted trail, campfire and things that go bump in the night. Boo at the Zoo brings new meaning to the concept of Party Animals!
