Before there was Lady Gaga…before there was Madonna…there was Marlene Dietrich. She was so far ahead of her time she is still as relevant today as she was in her 1930s and ’40s heyday. She kissed a woman on screen long before Katy Perry kissed a girl, she made wearing pants for women acceptable and fashionable and looked better in a sharp tux than any man.
The Hollywood Museum is hosting an exclusive collection of rare Marlene Dietrich items for public sale in an auction for the first time starting on March 19, 2014 at auctionmystuff.com. The 250 item exhibit, a collection of unique professional and personal items from this cinematic icon, includes one of Marlene Dietrich’s famous tuxedos and an intimate letter to her from Ernest Hemingway. The Hollywood Museum is in the Historic Max Factor Building where the legendary Max Factor originally designed Marlene Dietrich’s glamorous and famous look. The display is open to the public in an exclusive exhibit concluding when the auction closes on April 6, 2014. The Hollywood Museum is located at 1660 N. Highland Ave., Hollywood, California.
