California Bookstore Day in May

Who reads books, anyway? Aren’t independent bookstores dead? Not so fast! The number of independent bookstores nationwide approximated by the American Booksellers Association’s membership exceeds 1,630, and has grown more than 16% over the past five years, reversing a lengthy decline that started in the mid-1990s. For those who love books and want to support small businesses, the first ever California Bookstore Day takes place on May 3, 2014. Read more>
