While dozens of parades showcase fabulous decorated yachts, in little Sunset Beach they are showing off their “YOTs”. Sunset Beach’s YOT Parade is the funkadelic annual event which is the antidote to nearby Huntington Harbour’s Boat Parade and Cruise of Lights Boat Tours. On Saturday, Dec. 21, 2014, guests are invited to line up behind Jack in the Box along the greenbelt at 5:45 p.m. with only one restriction to be in the parade — please decorate your car, bike or yourself. That’s all! We’ve attended past parades, invited our friends with classic woodies so we could ride in cool cars in the parade, and we’ve discovered that you get a lot more waves when you’re in a classic wood spewing out the carbon monoxide than say, a Toyota.
