It’s no wonder the Valentine’s Package for the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Golf Tournament sold early. Fantastic, summer-like weather (75 degrees), Pebble Beach’s famed ocean vistas, and the A-list of celebrities and golfers all come together to create an unforgettable experience.
CELEBRITY GOLFERS: Earlier in the week guests watched local favorite — actor, producer, director and former Carmel mayor, Clint Eastwood — who competed in the celebrity challenge for the first time in a decade. He shared the spotlight with other actors such as Chris O’Donnell, Bill (Caddyshack) Murray, Ray Romano and Craig T. Nelson.
AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am is the premier celebrity pro-am event on the PGA TOUR (and one of California’s finest golf events) with roots going back to the Bing Crosby days in Southern California. It moved to the Monterey Peninsula in 1947 and to date has generated more than $120 million for charity. Taking place over a week (Feb. 9-15, 2015) the tournament is held on three courses, Pebble Beach Golf Links (Host) (72/6,816); Spyglass Hill Golf Club (72/6,953); and Monterey Peninsula Country Club (Shore) (71/6,867). On Valentine’s Day (Feb. 14) the third tournament round leads up to the grand finale on Feb. 15 in which one golfer stands to take home more than $1 million in the winning share of the $6.8 million purse. Tickets approx. $60, attpbgolf.com
