Around the globe “natural bridges” are popular attractions. El Arco (The Arch) rock formation that erupts from the sea at the tip of the Baja Peninsula is a distinctive, must-see landmark for tourists visiting Cabo San Lucas. Similarly Santa Cruz, California’s Natural Bridges State Beach features a naturally occurring arch, the last surviving formation of three that once existed. After you’ve seen the arch, what’s next? Examine the fascinating tide pools on your own or with a docent-led walk, see migrating monarch butterflies (October to mid-February,) or have a barbecue and catch a spectacular sunset.
