Biggest Party in California this Weekend
Christopher Street, West Hollywood’s best known entertainment / festival planner, has put together a smashing event on June 10-12, 2016, expecting well over half a million people to attend. Now that’s a party! It’s called L.A. Pride and is appropriately held in the most gay place in California — West Hollywood, where more than 40% of the population identifies as LGBT. This year’s focus is music — all ages are invited to attend the extravaganza of sounds on multiple stages. Headliners include Carly Rae Jepsen, Charli XCX and Krewella. The festival is a ticketed event but the parade with over 400,000 in attendance on Sunday is FREE. Lavish and colorful costumes, marching bands, and floats adorned with rainbows and American flags celebrate the gay community and an alternate lifestyle West Hollywood proudly embraces.
