With hundreds of 4th of July fireworks displays in the LA basin we tried to think of the best way to catch more than one (they all happen around the same time — approx. 9 p.m.) The answer was to check out the new Skyspace LA Observation Deck around 9 p.m. on July 4. Believe it or not, the time slot was open and less than 24 hours away! Amazing. No, what’s really amazing is L.A.’s newest attraction described as California’s tallest open-air observation deck. Located in the US Bank Tower in downtown L.A. this new view of the city and California beaches which opened one week ago, also includes an outdoor Skyslide made of glass. It travels 45 feet from the 70th to 69th floor of the building and is sold as an add-on to your observation ticket. Word of advice — fireworks seem smaller from this vantage point way up in the sky!
