While the Tournament of Roses, Rose Parade, in Pasadena hogs all the attention each and every New Year’s holiday, San Diegans have their own special parade celebration that they’re pleased as punch about. Boasting “America’s Largest Balloon Parade,” Port of San Diego Holiday Bowl Parade on Dec.31, 2018, at 10 a.m. is a delightful, free waterfront attraction. It’s part of the Holiday Bowl experience culminating in a football game with Northwestern University Wildcats (Big 10 Conference) vs. University of Utah Utes (Pac-12 Conference.)
